2015 ????? MFBL IS ON THE MARCH!

The Memorial Fantasy Baseball League has been renewed for 2015 and the annual February preparations are being made…as well as some “first time” preparations, ie; trying to figure out how WordPress “works” and trying to figure out where all the Commissioner stuff is on the new new revamped CBS Sports website.

Check it out:

http://cms.baseball.cbssports.com/

As far as I can tell…the more things that have apparently changed the more they actually have remained almost the same, but I would advise everyone who hasn’t already done so to go on there, review your team, check out what’s different on the website.  Ask questions.  Oh…and Chat!  Apparently CBS is very proud of the improvements they’ve made this year in the “ability and ease of chatting” category so, maybe we won’t be saddled the entire season with one solitary “chat” berating a closer who blew the save on opening day for the entire season….although, I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed seeing that all year long.  Can’t recall who it was though….a Cub I think.

Familiarize yourselves though with the website and, as always…if there are any rule tweaks that still need discussing pre-draft, well…the “pre” is going to expire here in less than two months.  Thank all the goodnesses.  My phone says it feels like -6 degrees right now, but when you’re looking at your fantasy baseball team or prepping for the upcoming season the “unchill effect” is like +10 to 12 degrees.  That’s been meteorologically verified I’m pretty sure…so take advantage of that.

This year I decided to unilaterally set some TENTATIVE DATES…to get us started conversating, and admittedly, in hopes that those dates tentatively suggested might be deemed perfect to all and therefore negate the need for said conversating.  Those dates are:

MEMORIALITE VOTES DUE: 3/15/2015
KEEPER LISTS DUE: 3/28/2015 – 10:00AM
2015 DRAFT 4/1/2015 10:00PM ET – April Fool’s…seemed appropriate.

I’m sure I don’t have to let you know to let me know if any of those dates inconvenience any of you’ns in even the slightest way.  As always we will work together to find mutually agreeable dates that only inconvenience the least inflexible among us.  So, Brian, be prepared to draft at 4:00am from the backseat of taxi.

Additionally, if anyone out there is WordPress or Blog savvy and would like to contribute.  (I’m thinking Street Chickens Ultramegaphonic Youtube Nuggets might be a nice recurring feature) or…more productively, if anyone knows how I could set up a sweet and easy nominee vote right here….well, withhold that nollitch no longer!

I think it’s going to be another great season.  My potential seven keepers look to be the seven greatest players ever kept, as I’m sure do yours.  So, prep away and let me know of your “TENTATIVE DATE CONCERNS” as soon as possible.

PEACE!
